Mete Seymen is a seasoned journalist and freelance multimedia reporter based in Oslo, Norway, with a career that has spanned over a decade. Seymen began his journey in journalism in 2012 in Dakar, Senegal, where he initially served as a TV channel representative and correspondent. During his tenure in West Africa, Seymen had the opportunity to interact with numerous high-profile figures, including former U.S. President Barack Obama, French President François Hollande, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, as well as a host of other presidents, politicians, and ambassadors.

In addition to his political coverage, Seymen has a keen interest in travel and tourism, having hosted and reported on the subject for TV channels in the USA, Kenya, and Turkey. Since relocating to Norway in 2015, he has continued to make his mark in the field of journalism. 

His reporting not only captures the political and social shifts within Norwegian society but also underscores the country's evolving multicultural landscape. As a director I have two feature documentaries in development with prominent production companies, and in 2022 I was chosen to be one of the participants in the prestigious Documentary Campus Masterschool.

I am working on several funded fiction projects as a screenwriter, and my filmmaking is entwined with my extensive experience in comedy writing and performance. I have toured the world with a variety of live comedy shows, and I am one of the leading improvisers in the UK, currently starring in West End smash Austentatious.

In 2022 a podcast I produced and co-created – 'Come Into My Kitchen' – was nominated for ‘Best Comedy’ at the British Podcast Awards, UK podcasting’s highest honour.

I have also worked as a music journalist, and have extensive experience of copywriting for a range of projects.
