Spanish/Canadian award-winning documentary filmmaker and video journalist with ten years of experience in Europe, Asia, South America, North America and Africa. He is now based in Calais, France, where he is working on documentary film series on migration in Europe. In the last few years he has been directing a documentary in New York, working as sound recordist and local producer in Central African Republic, and as teacher in the School of Visual Arts. He freelances for several clients while producing his next feature documentary.
Speechless portrays the life of three stroke survivors who suffer from aphasia, a loss of language produced by a brain damage. Through their story, we witness a quest for happiness, the dignity of those who fight for a new life, and the importance of human communication.
