About Irfan
Multimedia Journalist @ TRT World | Daniel Pearl Fellow | Award-Winning Investigative Reporter on Conflict & Anti-Corruption For DAWN

Being an award-winning multimedia journalist, I am working in the field of print and electronic journalism for the last over 10 years. At present, I am working as Multimedia Journalist @ TRT World. Earlier, I was working as Multimedia Correspondent with the print and online edition of daily Dawn-the most respected English newspaper of Pakistan. In past, I had worked as Mentor – TV / Newspaper with Internews Network, Pakistan which is an international media development organization of the United States. At Internews, I provide mentoring to over 200 prints and TV journalists of conflict areas including KPK, FATA, Balochistan and South Punjab. I believe that I am very energetic, ambitious and enthusiastic professional while I am always keen to learn more and more and I think that is why I have worked in different media and gained knowledge and experience of how each of the medium works. I would like to add that apart from being a seasoned journalist, I am a great motivational speaker, presenter, mentor and even a pedagogue to a great extent. I do not keep the knowledge I gain with myself and believe in sharing it with as many people possible.
In September 2013, I received best journalist Agahi award on conflict reporting for Daily Dawn ******.
I also received best journalist Agahi award on anti-corruption for Daily Dawn in April 2015.
