Can You Forge a University Degree?

09 Apr 2021  |  www.vice.com
The article features an interview with 'Chris', a self-taught forger who began his illicit career by skipping school and using his Photoshop skills to avoid detection. Initially involved in drug mule activities in the Île-de-France region, Chris expanded his services to include forging documents, such as diplomas and certificates, for those in need. Despite having a respectable job now, he still engages in forgery on the side, aware of the legal risks in France and the UK. Chris operates through a personal network, ensuring no evidence can be traced back to him. He discusses the varying complexity and pricing of forged documents, the lack of verification by employers, and the shift in forgery techniques due to technological advancements. The article sheds light on the ease of document falsification and the challenges in combating such fraud.
