In late 2006, I moved to Taiwan and after freelancing for international, regional and local publications for about a year, I became the BBC's Taiwan correspondent, branching out into broadcast media (both radio and TV), while continuing to write text stories for its website. In the past decade, I also learned to film and edit my own video stories, some of which were the most viewed on the BBC's website.
