Covid-19 versus FGM culture in Kenya.

As the people who contact the Covid-19 increase everyday, the cultural practice of mutilating girls threatens to worsen the situation in Kuria region, Kenya.
The region is located at the Kenya-Tanzania border, as regulations are observed in Kenya the neighboring country of Tanzania has relaxed guidelines and plans to have young girls cross into Tanzania are underway.
There is a generation of the old people in Kuria community who have kept fidelity with this custom and mobilization to have girls cross over are underway, and fears, according to human rights and anti-FGM, are that the girls would cross to Tanzania in mass to undergo the cut.
