I was inside the besieged Parliament till the last minute and within the direct range of of kalashnikov/apc/tank crossfire. I received special mentions in the "Friday Report" for spots on foreign adoptions of Russian children and Chernobyl legacy, personal thank you note from NBC News President Andy Lack for " great effort and courage in crossing the lines of danger to help share the news with the rest of the world", the 1993 News Emmy Award for the outstanding coverage of a single breaking news story "Fighting in Moscow Streets". In 2005 I was at John Paul II funeral in Rome with Craig M. Whitlock, Washington Post. In 2010 I fixed for Jim Maceda, NBC (Smolensk catastrophe). My motto is: There are no problems, only solutions.
